Your challenge
Do you want to lead a team of about 25 Quality and Reliability consultants and support all Philips sectors globally with End-to-end (E2E) Quality and Reliability support as well as playing an instrumental role in further shaping the Design for Reliability program within Philips globally?

Your responsibilities
Manager of the Product Quality and Reliability Services group:
Is a member of the Management Team and determines, in consultation with the Management Team, the group’s objectives, policies, processes and budgets on short and long term,
makes sure that the organization can meet the objectives and ensures that the roles and responsibilities are put in place.
Is responsible for the development of services propositions, competences and infrastructure in the group, as well as for maintaining and improving the group’s knowledge and expertise.
Cooperates globally with Philips R&D centers, innovation excellence programs and the business and establishes a network with relevant stakeholders and actively participates (with group) in expert networks both within Philips and externally in own professional field.
Ensures appropriate personnel management practices regarding recruitment and selection, adequate staffing, remuneration, performance appraisals, education and training, and management development policy.
Ensures the group’s output and performance is in line with innovation partner expectations (both short-term and long-term).
Thinking out of the box, seeing the bigger picture, creating longer term vision and strategy, both for the own group and for key contribution (with respect to his own professional field) to the business.
Aquisition support: Within the group, build-up and maintain relations with existing innovation partners and identify (together with M&S) business opportunities.
Your team
The department Quality & Reliability Engineering Services is part of Philips Innovation Services and is a dynamic team of over 90 engineers and consultants divided in 4 competence groups in the field of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Electronic Design Services (EDS), Test Measurement Automation (TMA) and the Product Quality and Reliability Services (PQRS).

Your Group Product Quality & Reliability Services plays an instrumental role in establishing and leading a cross sector “Design for Reliability (DfR)” leadership community and establishing a common DfR process framework within Philips.
Your customers are both internal Philips businesses as well as external companies and are located all over the world.

You report directly to the Department Head and manage a group of about 25 highly skilled technical professionals.

We are looking for
MSc /PhD degree in relevant area of expertise; Discipline like Physics, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, etc.
People manager with at least 5 years of experience in managing and facilitating technical professionals, with proven ability in motivating technical experts
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in the field of Product Quality and Reliability and innovation
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in customer – oriented (preferably global) organizations
Knowledge and understanding of the relevant application and technology area, or capable to gain this quickly
An entrepreneurial attitude to establish improvements and results
A role model: ability to stimulate, inspire and empathize
Communication skills through all stakeholders levels within the business, verbally and in writing
Fluent in English
